You did not sleep a wink, but with these tips you will get through the day as well as possible despite your bad night's sleep. And they really work!
Daylight signals your body that it is daytime and therefore time to be awake. Therefore, open your curtains immediately in the morning and go outside around lunchtime for a walk and to catch some daylight. The movement will also do you good and help you get through the afternoon. And although you may not feel completely great, a brisk walk really helps.
Sugar causes a short energy peak, but after that you get a dip. Rather opt for nutritious meals and leave the sweet snacks for what they are.
Many people will not have time for it because of their work. If you do have time, a power nap is recommended. Set an alarm clock and don't sleep longer than half an hour.
Resist the temptation to go to bed right after dinner. Chances are that you will start to feel fitter as the evening progresses. Don't fall into the trap of going to bed at the same time as normal and no more than an hour earlier. If you deviate too much from your usual bedtime, your rhythm will only get more confused. Did you wake up again in the evening? Even then, go to bed on time so as not to mess up your rhythm even more.
Sleep deprivation can make you dehydrated. Drink enough glasses of water, preferably chilled:cold water makes you more alert.
Your body needs oxygen. Hence the yawning every time. Help your body by taking a few deep breaths. and finally:make your bedroom cozy, clean and tidy now so that you sleep well next night.
