In the February issue, five readers shared their tips against migraines. A number of tips were also shared online.
- 'Drinking a lot can prevent it, sometimes…'
- 'I've tried all the strong anti-migraine drugs, but nothing really helped. What does help is to take two paracetamol at the very first symptoms and take it easy for an hour. After that the spots in front of my eyes are gone and I usually don't have a lot of headaches.'
- 'Don't eat certain foods anymore. No or less sugar and no more wheat. Haven't had a migraine since then. I think it has a lot to do with nutrition.'
- 'I take two paracetamol and grease my forehead and temples with China oil.'
- 'I'll be under the scan in two hours, I'm afraid nothing will help me anymore.'
- 'Paracetamol doesn't work for me at all, I start with ibuprofen 600 Mg and if that doesn't work I take a fromirex that the neurologist has prescribed, this almost always works but the attacks come back on average twice a week, something to to be completely mad. I've been in a process for so long, but it's like weeds that keep coming back.'
