Colleagues with bad breath
Bad breath turns out to be a turnoff not only in dating. Almost 70% of the Dutch are sometimes annoyed by colleagues with bad breath. Although bad breath is a well-known phenomenon for everyone, it is still taboo; only a quarter of the Dutch say it honestly when someone close to them has bad breath.
Shame
No less than one third of the Dutch say they are sometimes ashamed of bad smelling breath. However, more than half of the Dutch think they always have fresh breath. In practice, however, it appears that no less than 30% of the Dutch are sometimes called to account for their bad breath.
Coulant
Although 80% of the Dutch think that people around them should have fresh breath, we are more lenient towards our own partner. Almost 40% of the Dutch state that their loved one sometimes has bad breath. Apparently this is not a reason to break up.
