Natural remedies for stretch marks

How to use

  • Cut a medium-sized potato into thick slices
  • Take one of the slices and gently rub it over the stretch marks. Do this for several minutes. Make sure the juice is rubbed on all affected areas
  • Let the juice dry completely and then wash it off with lukewarm water

Sugar

Although bad when ingested, sugar can be used to reduce certain conditions. This also applies to the treatment of stretch marks. In this case, the sugar acts as a scrub.

How to use

  • Take a tablespoon of raw sugar and mix it with a little almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix well and apply on the stretch marks
  • Rub this mixture gently over the stripes and surrounding skin for 10 minutes. Do this before taking a bath or shower
  • After a month you will see the stretch marks getting lighter

Aloe Vera

It is well known that aloe vera has several medicinal properties. It is therefore a real all-rounder and indispensable in every household. The active substances in the aloe vera plant will restore the skin in case of burns, but the plant also offers a solution in the fight against stretch marks.

How to use

  • Cut open a leaf of the aloe vera. Remove the jelly-like interior and apply it directly to the stretch marks. You can leave the gel in place or, if desired, rinse with warm water after a few minutes
  • Another option is to mix the aloe vera gel (about 60 ml) with a few drops of vitamin E and vitamin A oil (capsules). Apply this on the affected skin and let it soak in completely. Repeat this daily

Lemon juice

Another way to get rid of stretch marks is to use lemon juice. Lemon juice is naturally acidic and helps repair the skin. This does not only apply to stretch marks, but lemon juice can also be used in the natural treatment of acne or scars.

How to use

  • Rub the juice of a lemon over the skin in gentle circular motions. Do this for at least 10 minutes. You can then rinse the lemon juice under lukewarm water.
  • Don't want to put pure lemon juice on your skin? Then take cucumber and lemon juice in the ratio 1:1 and spread it on the stretch marks. You can also rinse this mixture off after 10 minutes if desired

Olive or coconut oil

Both olive and coconut oils are high in antioxidants and numerous other substances that help repair the skin. That is why both oils are particularly suitable as a natural remedy for stretch marks.

How to use

  • Warm the desired oil slightly and then massage it into the skin. The oil ensures increased blood circulation, which will significantly reduce the stretch marks
  • Leave the oil in for at least half an hour, so that the vitamins A, D and E can do their job.
  • Instead of a night cream, use a mixture of olive oil, apple cider vinegar and a little water. This also helps to hydrate the skin

Cocoa butter

Cocoa butter has also long been known to contain beneficial ingredients. These can be used, among other things, in the natural treatment of stretch marks.

How to use

  • The best way is to apply cocoa butter directly to the affected skin areas, at least 2x a day. After a month or two there will be a significant difference in the stripes as they fade.
  • Would you rather not use it pure? Then make the following mixture:take 125 gr cocoa butter, a tablespoon of wheat germ oil, two teaspoons of beeswax (grated), a teaspoon of apricot kernel oil and a teaspoon of vitamin E oil (meant to make the mixture last longer). Heat all ingredients until the beeswax is completely melted. Store the mixture in a tightly closed glass jar in the refrigerator and apply it to the stretch marks 2-3 times a day. Castor oil (miracle or castor oil)

Castor oil is rightly referred to as castor oil. The healing properties, especially with regard to skin disorders and skin problems, are special. In addition to fighting wrinkles, Castor oil also helps in the fight against unsightly stretch marks.

How to use

  • Take some Castor or castor oil and massage it in circular motions over the stretch marks for at least 15 minutes.
  • Then the skin is covered with a cotton cloth or piece of clothing. Place a hot water bottle on top and let the heat do its work for at least half an hour.
  • This entire process must be continued for at least a month and daily for a positive result.

Water in the fight against stretch marks

Although stretch marks cannot always be prevented, it is important to keep your skin well hydrated. This gives the skin plenty of room to remain elastic. Water can also help with stretch marks recovery. The recommended amount of water to drink daily is at least 10 glasses.
