Pomegranate is one of my favorite fruits, aren't you? In any case, when you know its 3 medicinal virtues, I'm sure you won't be able to do without it!
Me, what I prefer in the pomegranate is the juice contained in its crunchy little seeds. By the way, did you know that the pomegranate is a real ally for our health?
1. Rich in vitamin C
If you are lacking in vitamin C, eat a pomegranate and you will quickly get back in shape! And yes, did you know that simply consuming a whole pomegranate is enough to provide us with 40% of our daily vitamin C intake .
So, why not eat its seeds in a salad with a little lamb's lettuce, raisins and a few crushed hazelnuts, it's delicious and original. All you have to do is sprinkle everything with a drizzle of lemon juice and olive oil and it's ready!
2. A source of antioxidants
Our dear pomegranate still contains more antioxidants than green tea. It is therefore a very good remedy against the headache the day after a drunken evening. According to several scientific studies, consuming pomegranate juice would even reduce the risk of breast cancer in women.
The antioxidants it contains in large quantities also protect the cells of our skin against the harmful effects of the sun and help to fight effectively against aging and the appearance of wrinkles.
3. A natural remedy
Pomegranate juice can be used as a natural cough remedy as a gargle, it can also be used as a dewormer in case of diarrhea and colic.
If you have fever , get yourself a little homemade drink to heal you. Take your pomegranate and cut it into two parts, drop the seeds into a bowl and crush them gently using a mortar.
Pass everything through a sieve to collect only the pomegranate juice , add some sugar to mask the acidity and your drink is ready. Every time I'm sick, it's my favorite remedy!
