- What is less known, however, is that oats also have calming and soothing benefits. It is therefore effective in the fight against insomnia, but also hypertension .

- Finally, and this I tested, oats take care of the skin. I often use the water that was used to boil my oats to apply it to my face with a cotton ball. It gives me a nice peach complexion. From time to time, I simply apply the porridge or my porridge as a mask for the face. It is excellent against acne or general skin irritations.

There are, however, some downsides to consuming too much oats.
Better pay attention to it. It's all about not overdoing it. The risk would be all the greater if you are athletic or on a diet.
In fact, oats would tend to capture nutrients already present in the food bowl. So certainly, it is a good point to lose weight but on the other hand, the risk of deficiency will be all the greater.
Because if oats only captured fats and sugars, that would be awesome. The problem is that it reduces the assimilation of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Our food intake would thus be reduced by nearly 5%.
The solution is therefore either to limit the doses of oat consumption, or to consume additional food supplements to offset the risk of deficiency.
