The recipe for bread as good as at the bakery
Ingredients: wheat flour (500 g), l Baker's yeast (8 g), fine salt (1 teaspoon), water (32 cl).
Step 1 :mix the salt with the flour. Mix the yeast with a little warm water to activate it. Otherwise, the bread will not rise.
Step 2 :Make a well in the center of the flour. Add the yeast and water. Continue until you get the consistency of a soft dough and knead by hand for 10 minutes, or use your bread machine.
Step 3 :place the dough in a bowl and let it rest for about 1h30.
Step 4 :work the dough which has doubled in volume by kneading it a little, in order to expel the air. On a lightly floured work surface, form balls of the same size. Fold the dough inwards and roll it with the palm of your hand.
Step 5 :place the balls of dough on a baking sheet and leave to rise for about 30 minutes.
Step 6 :Bake the loaves in a very hot oven (240°C) for 12 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness by tapping the base of the loaves, they should sound hollow.
