I admit… I am a coffee drinker. I have my favorite moments before drinking coffee. In the morning at least 2. One in the afternoon and one in the evening, after dinner. That means an average of 4 (sometimes 5) cups a day. I am a 'bland' coffee drinker, by the way, because I only drink cappuccino these days. This is in contrast to the black coffee I used to consume. And it has to be of good (what can I say… excellent) quality, otherwise I wouldn't drink it at all.

I am one of those coffee drinkers who actually prefer to drink the coffee from home. And if there is something 'not right' about the coffee, I immediately taste it. Somewhere else nine times out of ten I don't drink coffee. Or it has to be in a good restaurant, but even then I sometimes find it disappointing.
I regularly decide to have tea instead of coffee because I doubt whether the cappuccino will be good. I rarely drink coffee with friends and family. Not as tasty as at home, and often they don't make cappuccino but only have regular coffee. Blegh.
Hint :is coffee healthy or is it better to drink tea?
There's nothing worse than getting a cup of coffee, for example, and discovering that it's made from that sludge created by forcing lukewarm water through a pad. You know it… such a Senseo cup. I find it horrible. The kind of coffee you would rather throw at the plant because you have to gag when you have to work it down.
I always check the kitchen before I indicate whether or not I want coffee. And I can still fool myself. There are people who (just like us) have such a wonderful coffee machine. Such a fresh bean grinder that makes so much noise. And then decide to make regular coffee if they have visitors or have a birthday. Why? I have no idea, but I don't get it! Why do you have such a thing? To enjoy it alone?
See that you do not have or purchase a super deluxe coffee machine, I can understand that. Maybe you don't like drinking coffee, or you just don't think it's worth the money. Nothing wrong with that, I completely understand and that is your right.
But if you do have such a device now, and you still offer your visitors Senseo - for whatever reason - I really don't get it. You might as well say... 'Wow, nice of you to come by, but actually I don't feel like your visit at all' 😉 .
Well, my preference is now clear. We also have a coffee machine with fresh beans from which every cup of coffee is tapped. I really enjoy that. And I can really look forward to drinking a delicious cappuccino after the morning walk with the dog. With myself. Or to drink coffee with Frank on Friday afternoon when the children are still at school. Or on the weekend, when they are still in bed. Delicious. Spend some time talking through the week together.
Visite always asks for another cup of coffee. Perhaps that is also due to the coffee beans we use. I get Illy coffee at Koffiecentrale and the coffee made with it is really here to stay.
Which coffee beans do you like to use?
Not my cup of coffee, but there are plenty of people who don't leave a cup of filter coffee. Very occasionally - when I find it difficult to refuse - I want to drink this coffee again. But preferably with a lot of sweetness so that I can mask the taste a bit. Do you know that? For example, some tasty brownies!
I also often find this coffee good to drink. My father always made coffee this way, and I thought it was good to drink. Usually we also take this cafetière with us on holiday to make our coffee. I have wondered for ages why I can drink this coffee and regular filter coffee not, but now I know the answer. With this way of making coffee, you just use boiled water, which is much warmer than water from a filter coffee machine. I think that gives me the difference in taste and is therefore also one of the reasons that I think this coffee is okay.
Making slow coffee is actually in between the filter coffee and the cafetiere in my opinion. Making a cup of coffee the slow way takes about 3-5 minutes. Hot water is poured over the ground coffee that is in a filter. This technique has become increasingly popular in recent years and is a form of 'hip' coffee drinking.
Anyway, my preference for drinking coffee is 2, then 4, then 5 and the others prefer not to. How do you prefer to drink your coffee? And, have you ever wondered whether your coffee is Fairtrade?
