How long should you be careful with having sex if you have been traveling in an area with a risk of infection? The advised period has been doubled.
Previously, it was advised not to have sex for four weeks, or to have only protected sex. The World Health Organization has amended the advice and recommends:
Have you been to an area where there is a risk of contamination? Then you should not have sex for eight weeks or only have protected sex.
Do you want to get pregnant? Then you should wait six months if your partner has shown symptoms of the virus.
