The position of the hand on the mouse generates tension, and that is why the wrist rest can be useful by allowing the muscles of the wrist to relax.
But if you hesitate to make this small expense, you can simply think of a very simple trick:alternate the use of the mouse with that of the tradpack from your laptop!
As soon as you feel a tenseness setting in, release the mouse and use the tradpack:just changing position and movement will do you good, and the effect will be immediate.
And go back to mouse as soon as you feel awkward and tense on the tradpack.
Nothing simpler, right?
