Vitamin A

A carrot provides your daily supply of vitamin a. And if you say a, you say b:the b of beautiful skin. This vitamin helps your skin to recover.

Potassium

Older ladies and postmenopausal women in particular can suffer from a potassium deficiency. You can already feel it coming, carrots help you keep that level in balance. There are also people who have to eat low potassium, so be sure to consult your doctor or dietician if you are familiar with potassium fluctuations.

Almost sugar free

An apple, pear or banana is also delicious and mostly healthy. However, the carrot "wins" when we look at sugar. The orange cutie contains almost nothing of this. And that makes it particularly suitable for diabetes patients or people who want to pay attention to the intake of sugars anyway.

Orange top

Have you ever wondered why carrots are orange? Until the 17th century, carrots were only known in other colors (white, purple, you name it). Only when we Dutch started making the carrot orange (!), it turned bright orange. And that orange is due to the high content of beta-carotene in the vegetables.
