It was a Burmese herbalist who, in 1870, created this balm according to a recipe from the Chinese pharmacopoeia. It is sold worldwide, under the English name "Tiger Balm".
Beware when you buy it, there are indeed fake balms from Asia.
Tiger Balm contains camphor, which is analgesic and antimicrobial, mint, clove oil, paraffin and eucalyptus oil for white or cinnamon for red.
