Vitamin B is not one vitamin, but the collective name is for a group of eight vitamins.
The B vitamins play an important role in cell metabolism, nerve function and the release of energy from our diet. They fall under the so-called essential vitamins, which means that your body cannot make them all of the B vitamins itself, so you have to get them from food. All B vitamins are water-soluble:your body can hardly store them. No matter how much you eat, what you don't use, you just pee out. An exception to this is vitamin B12, which the body stores in the liver and muscles.
It is not necessary to get every B vitamin every day. Your body can also do without it for a while, but if you eat one-sided and unhealthy for a longer period of time, there is a risk of a deficiency.
Even if you only snack for a few days in a row, there is no man overboard, your body can handle that well. The risk of a deficiency only arises if you eat one-sided and unhealthy diet and drink a lot of alcohol for at least eight weeks. In addition, a deficiency can arise due to medication or because your body does not absorb the vitamin properly.
