Clocks go forward one hour this weekend. That means we can sleep an hour less and that has more impact on your body than you might think. Prepare for summer time with these tips.
1. Get enough sleep
Go to bed half an hour earlier every night. Try to stick to your usual bedtime on Sundays.
2. Get up earlier
Get up an hour earlier tomorrow and the day after to get used to the feeling. Going to bed early in the evening will therefore also be easier.
3. Don't take an afternoon nap on Sunday
Your biological clock has to adapt to the hourly time difference. An afternoon nap will only make you more out of your rhythm, resist the afternoon nap and rather go to bed on time.
4. Watch your diet
Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol. Rather leave sleeping pills in the medicine cabinet.
