The swine flu has claimed its first victim in our southern neighbors.
It concerns a woman of around thirty from Turnhout, near Antwerp. The Belgian got the first symptoms of the disease a week and a half ago. Her condition worsened as she developed double viral pneumonia. Today she passed away.
In total, 126 people are infected in Belgium with the swine flu, officially called New Influenza A (H1N1). The number of confirmed flu cases in the Netherlands is 364.
