Did you play sports? Well done !
But now you have lots of aches? And it's painful!
Aches are signs of the reconstruction of muscle fibers and therefore of the good health of your muscles.
But they can still become unbearable.
To avoid the aftermath of difficult sessions, follow these few simple rules.
Hydration promotes the elimination of toxins. So remember to drink water before the session (1/2 liter 30 minutes before), then regularly throughout the workout (one sip every 5 minutes). When you get out of the shower, complete your intake with 250 ml of water (the equivalent of two glasses). Possibly, drink a small beer! Don't wait to be thirsty!
End your session with 5 to 10 minutes of gradual cool-down :running, rowing machine, cycling, weight training series with light loads, even a short walk... all at a moderate pace. This low-intensity work allows you to relieve your muscles of the toxins accumulated during the session.
Contrary to what the elders think, excessive stretching is to be avoided on the day of the session. Indeed, in the same way as the exercises, they create microlesions within the muscle, causing more aches. Stretch lightly, without forcing, during your session. If you want to gain flexibility, take advantage of the "off" days to stretch more seriously.
Finally, be aware that if you practice regularly and frequently (more than one session per week), your muscles will gradually get used to it:after two weeks, they will no longer ache ...unless you stop training for more than a week.
And you, how do you manage your body aches? Indicate it in the comments, and good sport!
