Eczema is the medical term for a syndrome resulting from several skin diseases.
It is characterized by red lesions with irregular contours, accompanied by intense itching.
The main problem with these itches is that if you scratch them, they can become infected. So let's not get to that...
There are small daily gestures, which we do without thinking about it, but which are not at all appropriate for skin diseases such as eczema:
We think, wrongly, that a greasy cream will relieve an itchy dryness... It's quite the opposite, since the greasy cream will nourish eczema and help it develop.
If you like creams, prefer those containing aloe vera for example, like this one.
In the same way, we say that the double dose softener in the laundry will help the skin fight against the enemy... But softeners, especially for the little ones, are allergenic andirritants .
Prefer to use the "rinse more" button on your washing machine and scent your laundry differently.
- Only one soap to adopt :Aleppo soap! We have long been convinced of its natural soothing and antiseptic properties (from 3 to 6 € per soap).
- A trick to soften bath water :put a handful of rice starch in the bath (no more than two baths per week). You find it in pharmacies.
- A precious aid to relieve :thermal spring waters in spray, enriched with zinc. They are soothing and decongestant. You can find them in pharmacies and drugstores (approx. €6 for 300 ml).
- A natural treatment to soothe :nothing better in addition to the toilet than a mixture of lemon and oil (olive or almond oil). They naturally soften the skin, without leaving it greasy.
On the skin, use organic cotton as much as possible or untreated . There are many treatments that textiles undergo that make them allergenic.
I can only encourage you, along with these little tips, to seek with your doctors (treating and dermatologist) the reasons for your eczema to you. It may be due to allergies or stress .
You can, in addition to these tips, also direct you to essential oils or homeopathy if you wish, but only on the advice from anaturopath and adoctor .
