Heatstroke is hard to control.
Especially when you have to make an effort when it's very hot or when you don't drink enough!
This is a phenomenon that also affects children during heat waves.
The skin then becomes dry and burning. Body temperature rises. You have to act quickly to avoid discomfort.
Fortunately, there is a very simple trick to regain a reasonable body temperature in a few seconds.
To refresh yourself for sure and start off on the right foot, the effective remedy is to pass your arms under a simple trickle of cool water.
Contents
1. Spend a few seconds your forearms and hands under very very cold water.
2. Insist on the crook of the elbow.
3. If you are at home, for more efficiency, fill a small basin of water with ice cubes.
4. Bathe your arms in it for 5 min.
There you go, you've cooled your body temperature in seconds :-)
To save water, you can reuse the water in your basin for later.
In fact, when you make an effort and your body temperature skyrockets, it is the blood that has risen a few degrees.
By applying cold water to strategic places such as the bend of the elbow, this temperature is lowered.
Because it is a part of our body where large blood vessels circulate, the brachial artery in particular.
The blood, thus refreshed, will circulate in our body and lower our general temperature.
If symptoms of heatstroke persist, seek medical attention promptly.
And don't forget to drink plenty of water when it's hot.
