On average, a morning mood lasts five to twenty minutes, but it can last longer. Nothing to worry about. Morning mood, however long it takes, is caused by waking up being a slow process. There is no button that converts you from sleeping to being awake. If you look at it that way, it's not surprising that some people are still a bit irritable in the first hour.
