A team of sleep researchers has published an article in SLEEP in which they indirectly conclude that it is better to start our working day a little later.

People who start working before 6 a.m. sleep on average only 6 hours a night. People who start between 9 AM and 10 AM sleep an average of 7.5 hours. Every hour that work or study starts later, would provide about 20 minutes of extra sleep.
So maybe you should turn around and start working a little later;-)
