These tips will help you feel better after eating too much.
1. Move
Exercise ensures that your metabolism is started. After dinner, all go outside for a walk.
2. Say no when more food comes
Dinner has only just arrived and bowls full of tasty things are already being put on the table. Resist the temptation to eat more. It's all delicious, but it's not good for your stomach.
3. Don't feel guilty
All those culinary excesses may not fit into the healthy eating pattern that you normally have, but that is precisely why you can now enjoy them extra. And on the other hand:don't feel guilty towards the host if you skip or skip something.
4. Don't skip meals
It may seem like a good idea to skip lunch 'because your parents will serve you enough', but that's not a good idea. By skipping meals, you increase the chance that you will start snacking in between or overeat at the next meal.
5. Drink enough
And of course we don't just mean that wine. Make sure you drink enough water in between.
6. Do not lie down
If you don't have to, it's best not to lie down right away. Ideally, there should be three hours between the meal and the moment you lie down. If you do lie down earlier (because:family traditions), it is best to lie on your left side, which is better for your digestion.
