The samples from the study showed that there are an average of 3,785 bacteria on a tea bag. In comparison:about 220 bacteria are found on an average toilet seat.
Are the tea bags individually packed? Then there are the kettle handles (2,483 bacteria), mug rims (1,746 bacteria) and the box of sugar (1,406 bacteria).
