Mobile Intervention For Drinking in Young People (MIDY) is being tested for this on a group of 300 students. The app gives notifications such as:'Don't you have to work tomorrow?' or 'What time are you going home?' A kind of nagging parent actually.
It doesn't happen all by itself. You regularly have to fill in a questionnaire in the app. The app then provides notifications that match. So you are not instructed not to drink anything anymore, but MIDY helps you to keep your drinking within limits. The app will be tested over the next two years and if it is successful, the app will then be used more widely.
