With your new shoes or in your new bag you will often find a small bag filled with balls of silica gel. In big letters it says DO NOT EAT. Does that mean the contents of the bag are poisonous?
Silica gel is not toxic, but it can contain chemicals and unhealthy substances. Eating is therefore strongly discouraged. Children may confuse the small spheres with candies. Keep the bag away from children and animals as there is a risk of suffocation.
Do not throw the bags away from now on. They are very handy.
