Good news for those of us with a lot of moles:people with a significant number of moles live longer than people with few to no moles.
During a survey by King's College London more than nine hundred twins were studied. Those with more than a hundred moles were found to live on average six years longer than those with twenty-five moles or less.
This probably has to do with the protective caps of the DNA , called telomeres † As you get older, these protective caps get shorter. The length of these telomeres can determine the rate at which your body ages.

Long will she live
The sections at the end of the strands of DNA determine how often a cell can divide and create new cells. The longer these sections (also called telomeres) are, the more can be renewed. And people with many moles have longer telomeres † The conclusion reached by scientists at King's College London drawn from the study was that people with many moles probably live longer because their telomeres shorten less quickly.
There is, however, a caveat to this story. People with many moles are more likely to develop skin cancer †
