41 percent of employees are left with health problems as a result of a reorganization
The credit crisis makes them seem inevitable:reorganisations. With such interventions in a company, there is often little attention for the health of employees. And that is necessary:from the recently published FNV report Ill because of uncertainty, it appears that no less than 41 percent of employees have health problems subject to a reorganization.
Since last year, experts have been drafting EU guidelines for healthy restructuring. Research is being conducted into the effects on mental and physical health of workers who end up on the street and those who are left behind. The latter group often has to achieve the same results with less manpower, which often causes stress. Managers are also often stressed, because they have to continue with fewer and often demotivated people.
