With me, it is guaranteed on invoice. I'm entitled to a cold.
And every winter, it's the same old story.
Fortunately, my grandmother gave me her tricks to cure a cold quickly.
Now whenever my nose is runny, I pull out my panoply of natural cold remedies.
You have noticed, if you go to a doctor for a serious cold, the first thing he prescribes is to perform a nasal wash 3 to 4 times a day for 7 days.
Might as well start with that, as soon as your nose starts to run. It helps clear the nose and fight colds.
To do this, tilt your head to the side and spray the spray or saline solution into the nostril. Blow your nose and repeat on the other side. It's simple and effective.

It's an old grandma's trick that we wrongly abandoned. To decongest the respiratory system, nothing better than a homemade inhalation.
It thins the secretions, cleans the sinuses. There are many recipes but here is my favorite. Heat some water and meanwhile, put 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil or thyme essential oil in a bowl. Prepare a towel.
When the water simmers, pour it into a bowl and lean over the bowl. Put the towel over your head so that you cover your face.
Breathe in the water vapor deeply for 5 minutes. Repeat 3 times a day. Even easier, you can also get an inhaler like this one.

It's not the easiest to make, but this recipe against colds has proven itself. You still need to have a poultry carcass on hand and have a little time.
For this grandmother's recipe, you will need a poultry carcass, 2 onions, 1 of which will be pricked with 3 cloves, 250 g carrots, 250 g turnips, 250 g leeks, 1 bouquet garni (parsley, celery, 2 bay leaves), 4 liters of water and peppercorns.
To prepare your chicken broth, peel the vegetables and onions and cut them into small pieces. Add the cloves and heat the water over medium heat. Dip the carcass and vegetables in it.
Add the bouquet garni and the pepper. Simmer for 2h30. Strain the broth through a sieve. Leave to cool and put in the fridge. Remove the fat that has congealed and reheat a portion to cure your cold.
You can put the rest in the freezer in small containers or ice cube trays, to enjoy as you go. This way you can defrost small portions. Be careful, do not leave your broth in the freezer for more than 6 months.
