You can use a vegetable oil like sweet almond oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil or coconut oil.

Taking essential oils internally has become increasingly popular…
Many people point to the benefits of oregano essential oil by mouth.
But... I do not advise you to take essential oil of oregano orally! Indeed, my own research on this is far from conclusive.
And as they say, caution is the mother of safety… especially when it comes to health. If you really want to take frankincense internally , I advise you to use only the leaves of oregano.
Keep your oregano essential oil for skin applications, or for your diffuser. In addition, enjoying the benefits of oregano internally is easy.
For example, you can taste good Italian recipes full of oregano. Or you can also try a good organic oregano herbal tea. They are delicious!
Despite all its many benefits, I still found 2 little faults with the essential oil of oregano:
- Its powerful fragrance: oregano, it smells strong. And after one application, you sometimes feel like you're in an Italian restaurant.
- It is not suitable for pregnant women: oregano essential oil can alter your hormone levels and potentially lead to miscarriage. Thus, oregano essential oil should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
As with all essential oils, even diluted in an oil, always do a test beforehand by applying a small amount in the bend of the elbow or inside your wrist.
If you feel irritation, increase the amount of carrier oil to further dilute the essential oil.
