I'm not much of a hoarder. Admittedly, I sometimes have a moment when – in connection with an offer to save on groceries – I buy 2 jars or bags of something, but then you've had it. But at the moment I sometimes get the feeling that I might have to get some extra stock at home. Hoarding due to the Corona virus, not because of the weeks of the same name at the well-known supermarket, but just to have extra in the house just in case.
I'm also starting to get a bit under the spell of the Corona virus. Last week I was nice and sober about all this, now I notice that I prick my ears every time during the news on the radio. While other people are already hoarding and stockpiling paracetamol and toilet paper I wonder if there is any more news about Corona. Are there any new rules that we should keep in mind?
For example, I check the e-mail from school every day, which adjusts its policy every day and creates clarity through the e-mail. And apps from the different sports groups. For example, Lotte's dance lessons have been canceled for the next week. My girlfriend texts me that maybe we should put kickboxing on hold for a week and hubby also climbs in the app to let me know that he will work a lot from home in the coming week due to the Corona virus. Nice, yes, but I'm getting more and more stuffy.
For example, I also read on Facebook that there are already many people who have started hoarding in connection with Corona and stock up on all kinds of products. Spinach, smac, kitchen rolls, paracetamol and pancake mix (dilute with only water), for example; these products are simply no longer available in various supermarkets!
And then a little panic sets in in my head. What if there really is shit going on in the future? If the toilet paper is gone then I'm really disappointed 😉 #joke. No, if we really have to stay at home because there are sick people in the house, or if a kind of 'ban' is imposed that you are no longer allowed to leave your house. Then it is quite handy if you indeed have something at home that you can rely on. Somehow my brain doesn't want to deal with this yet, I just can't imagine it will come to that, but that voice in my head is getting louder and louder.
Are you more careful and sensitive to hoarding or do you not care about the coverage of the Corona virus and are you just doing your thing?
