A broken charger, or need an extra charger? You can buy a new one for next to nothing, but that is not always a smart thing to do. Some of the chargers appear to be unsafe.
The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority has investigated 41 chargers, 24 of which were so unsafe that the sale of the chargers is immediately prohibited. Ten of the chargers even pose a risk of electric shock or fire.
This only concerns 41 chargers, but it does indicate that not all chargers on the market are safe.
