And that for someone who is 'allergic' to cats! Now I think it's not too bad with that allergy of his 😉, but I also think that our Rowenta air purifier also helps a hand.
We've had the Rowenta air purifier for several months now and I'm happy to tell you more about its use and how we like it. Secretly, I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to these types of devices. It's really cool that I can try them out to experience what they can do for us.
Actually, I was particularly interested in reviewing the Rowenta air purifier because I myself suffer from hay fever, but by the time we received the Rowenta, my hay fever was largely over. Last year I had the biggest peak around Easter… it was a drama during Paaspop! But 'luckily' we have even more complaints here in the house when it comes to allergies and air quality. This way we were able to try the Rowenta to our heart's content and I know well how it works by the time spring is approaching again and I am hit by another season of itchy noses, itchy eyes and huge snot production.
What does the Rowenta air purifier actually do for you? In fact, the Intense Pure Air connect PU6080 is an air purifier. And that can never hurt, of course, especially if you have a house full of animals. The device filters on 4 levels so that the Rowenta removes up to 100% of the allergens and the fine particles in the air according to tests*. In addition, the harmful formaldehyde is permanently destroyed*. (Formaldehyde is a carcinogenic substance that is released in exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, but also, for example, when cooking food). In addition to this substance, the Intense Pure Air PU6080 also filters pollen, house dust mites and, for example, mold, bacteria, viruses and chemical waste from cleaning products and paint cans and the like.
This air purifier can handle about 140 m² of surface area. Since several rooms will soon merge into each other, it is nice to know that the Rowenta Intense Pure Air connect PU6080 has no trouble purifying the air in large rooms. In addition, its compact size and weight ensure that you can easily lift it with one hand and use it in another room if necessary.
Before using for the first time, do not forget to remove all plastic packaging from the filters 😉 . It all speaks for itself, but it has to happen. It is then immediately ready for use and can be operated manually. The air quality is automatically measured and purified immediately. If desired, set it to day or night mode if you are going to use it in the bedroom.
Nice for the man here in the house, it can also be operated via app! For example, you can also turn it on remotely if necessary. I find it even more convenient that you can set the schedule via the app and that you can find all information about the air quality in your home in real time. Do you want to be kept informed automatically? This is possible with a push notification.
At first I thought so, but because of our experiences I now have to come back. Besides the fact that Frank is not bothered by all the cat hair, I find it nice that we can keep the air a bit clean here with all our renovations. We have already helped the necessary dust particles into the air through demolition work, and the paint pots are also frequently opened. If all this remains in the house, the living environment will not become healthier for us.
After testing this air purifier, we (especially hubby and I) have come to the conclusion that Rowenta does what needs to be done. Of course it is always difficult to measure, because how would you have felt without this air purifier? I ask myself that question regularly. But the fact remains that Frank can endure a family with mother cat and 4 kittens without being bothered by anything and that I too will face my hay fever period with good courage. Do you have certain hay fever symptoms? Then I can certainly recommend this air purifier.
We are also very satisfied with the sound. Despite the fact that the Intense Pure Air PU6080 air purifier from Rowenta is sometimes fully operational (we are still fully involved in the renovations), we are not bothered by it. When I'm in the office and it turns (2 meters away from me), I don't hear it, except for a brief moment when it starts, then (when turning constantly) the sound is so soft in the background that you can't hear it anymore .
