Your baby is growing too fast! What if you are even called to account for that? Last week I read that a mother has been advised to give her baby less food. From the consultation office. huh? After reading the message, it appears that the mother has been advised to give her child less food, because it is growing too fast. That's also something. That 'we' are already keeping an eye on it if a child grows too fast.
I can honestly understand that you want to monitor children a bit. If they have just been born and the first months for example. Just to make sure all is well with that little pug's health. Especially if a baby grows too slowly, it is of course nice that this is detected and that advice can be given.
But I am amazed that we are already concerned about children who are growing too fast. And that you also get the advice to let your child go hungry… I think that sounds very surprising.

The mother of the baby who is growing too fast has already been addressed at the child health clinic about the fact that her son is growing too fast. She has a 5 month old baby, quite a hungry baby, though. But what do you ask of a mother? Let your child cry. Your baby is growing too fast, so please feed a little less, okay? It's that mine weren't very hungry babies, but why give less food? That's impossible? You don't let your baby of a few months old go hungry, do you? Consciously…
The mother of this fast-growing baby has already tried everything in recent weeks on the advice of the health clinic. Rocking, soothing, screaming, special food for hungry babies and so on! But nothing seems to help. Her baby remains hungry and just wants to get his portion of food every 3 hours. If he doesn't get that, he'll be out of his mind. If he does get it, then he is a satisfied man.
And only then will you have a relaxed mother. If the child is satisfied. And isn't that in itself a signal, a happy baby? In the past, only that was considered. Are they satisfied? Then it's good!

Well, shoot me. I go for satisfied. And if her baby were really too fat, I could imagine something with that. But the photo attached to the relevant message, you just saw a 'normal' baby. With "normal" in quotes, of course. Because nowadays if you deviate even slightly from the curve, then you are apparently no longer normal and something must be done about it.
After all, we all have to be pigeonholed. And that you grow too fast with your 5 months old as a baby? Well… that's bad luck. You will go hungry, if only to fit in the box again!
