Sleeping too little can affect your mood. You probably notice that yourself; you are often touchy, emotional or irritable, but lack of sleep has a number of unexpected consequences.
When you don't wake up rested, it is more difficult to start your day with a positive feeling. That lasts all day long. Research even shows that if you have an above-average predisposition to depression, you are more likely to experience symptoms if you suffer from sleep deprivation.

Apparently too little sleep affects your sense of humor. Research shows that a funny headline or a nice cartoon is found less funny by tired people.
In a 2013 survey, participants were asked to write down five things they are grateful for and rate their gratitude. You guessed it:the people who had little sleep had more trouble with that.
