This way you sleep better

This way you sleep better

Waking up too early or sleeping badly? A quarter of all Dutch people are affected by it. Now a single night of bad sleep is not so bad, but if it becomes several nights, it has major consequences for your body and therefore a lot of impact on your daily life.

The consequences of poor sleep

Think you can't hurt one night? Then unfortunately we have to disappoint you. Even after an evening of Netflixing or catching up with friends for too long, you run the risk of reduced concentration, a shorter fuse or visible bags under your eyes the next day. In addition, you may tremble a bit more, feel sleepy and even have a lower libido. Actually enough reasons to put your head on your pillow a little earlier the following night.

If that one night becomes three or more nights, then your body really doesn't have enough rest and the complaints quickly get worse. Think of weakening your immune system so that you pick up a virus faster. But pale skin, muscle pain or muscle contractions will soon be part of your list of complaints. And if you have a chronic lack of sleep, even hallucinations are not strange.

Waking up too early

Another problem is waking up too early. Fortunately, there are simple tips to solve this problem. If you sleep with a partner, make sure you have a spacious duvet so that you don't end up without a 'blanket'. Choose a lovely duvet in the right heat class and a duvet cover 240×200 made of natural materials. If you do wake up, don't look at the clock because this activates your brain and makes it harder for you to fall asleep again. If you have to go to the toilet at night, close your duvet so that your bed stays nice and warm. And even by going to bed thinking it's still a good night's sleep, you help your mind fall back asleep faster. Want to know which duvet, cover and pillow are right for you?
