What everyone feared has now become reality:we are in a strict lockdown. We will list the latest corona measures that will last until January 19, 2021.
Starting today (Tuesday 15 December)
- Non-essential shops are closing. Supermarkets, grocery stores, drugstores, pharmacies and banks are not included. They remain open. You can find out which stores are allowed to remain open here see.
- Places with a lot of people passing through will be closed. Think of museums, theatres, cinemas, animal and amusement parks
- Contact professions such as hairdressers, beauty salons and sex workers must close their doors. This does not apply to medical contact professions such as physiotherapists and dentists. See here the list of contact professions that may continue to practice their profession.
- Gyms, swimming pools and saunas will close.
- The number of visitors (inside and outside) goes from three to two. With Christmas (24, 25 and 26 December) there is an exception, then one extra can be added.
From Wednesday 16 December:
- Schools, both primary, secondary and higher education, are closing and switching to online education. Children are still welcome at school for people with an essential profession.
- The childcare will also be closed, but will also remain for children with parents who have an essential profession. See here which professions are essential .
Next:
- Community centers will remain open, as will libraries to pick up or return books.
- Hotels remain open but are no longer allowed to serve food and drinks.
- Place of worship will remain open.
- A maximum of 100 people may come during a funeral.
- Pick up at coffee shops or catering is allowed.
- The Eredivisie and other top sports competitions may continue without an audience.
- Sports is allowed outside, but above 18 years old together with a maximum of 1 person. Under 18s may train in a team.
- The advice also applies to stay at home as much as possible.
