Actually, the cocorna app is now a kind of trial for the regions of Twente and Drenthe. But if you live in Noord-Holland, for example, you can already download it.

With the app it is possible to map whether the owner of the phone has been near someone who is infected with the corona virus. This is all done via bluetooth. If you have been near someone with the virus, you will receive a notification via the app.
Minister De Jonge hopes to be able to contain the corona virus with this, because with this part of the contact investigation that is done by the GGD can be taken over.
The app is still being looked at critically. The Rathenau Institute is particularly concerned about privacy.
