By using a mouth cap incorrectly, you can increase the risk of infection with, for example, the coronavirus. Research by the Red Cross shows that only 34 percent of the Dutch are aware of this.

More than half of the Dutch surveyed think it is important to continuously use a mouth cap in countries where the corona virus has been diagnosed. However, this is not correct, because in principle only care providers, informal caregivers or people with fever or respiratory problems have to wear this.
