If there's one thing that's hard to resist, it's candy. But giving in to that urge every time is of course not the intention. Here's a tip to snack less.
After exercise, you reward yourself with something tasty and when you watch TV, you almost automatically grab a bag of chips. You can combat these kinds of snacking habits with an if-then plan, according to research.

It's very easy. You make an appointment with yourself, in which you name the reason for your snacking behavior and link it to a healthier alternative. For example:if I watch television and I'm hungry, I eat an apple.'
For the study, participants made their own plan, monitor and evaluate it. After two months, the participants were found to eat an average of 190 kilocalories less per day.
Are you going to try it? Do not exaggerate. Researcher Aukje Verhoeven discovered that it is better not to make several if-then plans at the same time.
