When it comes to sustainability, we can learn a lot from Denmark. This week the Wefood supermarket opened in Copenhagen, where products that would otherwise be thrown away are sold.
The supermarket also sells products that have been damaged during transport. Wefood works together with a number of large supermarkets in Denmark, but also with (smaller) manufacturers to fill the store with products that would otherwise be thrown away. The prices of the products at Wefood are about 30 to 50 percent lower than in regular supermarkets.
