A blister is better to prevent than to cure. Read our tips to prevent a blister.
Prevent friction
A blister is caused by friction, try to avoid friction. Wear well-fitting shoes, shoes that are too big or too small create friction, and wear socks without seams.
Take care of your feet
Blisters develop faster on sweaty skin, but dry skin is also extra sensitive to blisters. Therefore, regularly lubricate your feet with a cream.
Talk powder
If you suffer from sweaty feet, it can help to sprinkle some talcum powder in your shoe and over your feet. Talcum powder absorbs moisture, making your feet less stiff from sweat. Bring a pair of clean socks if necessary.
Protection
Sometimes you can already feel a blister coming (beautiful shoes have to be broken in;-)) Stick a gel plaster or sports tape on the spot where friction occurs.
