Do you ever travel far? Then you probably know how annoying jet lag can be. Fortunately, you can ensure that it affects you as little as possible.
Relax on the road
It is always nice to travel well-rested, but if you are going to make a long journey, it is also wise. Your body will already have trouble with a time difference and if you are tired, the recovery will only take longer. So take plenty of time before you leave, so that you can relax on the road.
Lots of water
You will certainly get thirsty during such a long journey. Then drink a lot of water and no coffee or alcohol. Coffee can disrupt sleep and alcohol has a dehydrating effect. This can get in the way of a relaxed arrival, because fatigue and headaches sometimes play up.
Your watch
If you set your watch on the plane to the time of destination, you give yourself time to get used to the time difference. This works very well if you have already adjusted your sleeping times a bit at home. Going to bed an hour earlier or later can make a difference. Anyway, eventually you will always notice something of your jet lag. And why would you even complain about it? You're on vacation!
