Shorter waiting times please!

That is why people have been putting their heads together for years to find a possible solution. Unfortunately, the waiting times are still not getting shorter and with the increasing aging of the population things are not getting any better in the Netherlands. The next generation will be short of about 450,000 people in healthcare.

Why are the waiting times so long? For a treatment or surgery you have to wait seven weeks in one hospital, while in another hospital there is room within three weeks. The hospital that confronts the patient with a long waiting time will not, however, advise quickly to knock on the door of the other hospital. In this way, waiting times are piling up, while operating rooms in other hospitals are not fully utilized become.
