This week the national campaign The Netherlands Says Yes, an organ donation campaign, started.
With the new campaign, Dutch people who are not yet registered as donors are asked to make a choice about organ donation †
Almost half (7.5 million) of the Dutch have not yet made a choice about donorship and have not yet registered. However, nearly three million of them are positive about donating their organs. The Netherlands says yes helps them to make a choice and to register that choice.
Many parties have united and joined forces, including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, with the aim of reducing the shortage of donor organs.
