Well, ok, when we come out of the pool, we look like a wet little poodle. We are all wet, our eyes are all red and we smell the chlorine. Not very motivating at all... And if now I tell you that swimming is one of the best sports to get what you dream of? Slender, muscular legs, a Greek goddess booty...what do you say?
Swimming is a complete sport, you can work the whole body without hurting yourself. At the end of the session, you feel all marshmallow, you are super relaxed and you feel good. Come on, let's go!
As for jogging and all sports in general, there is no point in getting motivated except to do it for 1/2 hour. You won't lose your calories in depth, the ones that motivate you to get out of your sofa to go play the mermaid at the municipal swimming pool. One hour , that's how long it takes to lose stored fat for a long time.

So only make those parts work. By using your arms to swim, you reduce the effort made by your legs. And the goal is not to go faster but to beat your legs for an hour. Muscular arms, no. Firm legs and buttocks, yes!
