What better than a natural product to color your hair?
To treat, give highlights or even color your hair...
...we have a great 100% natural tip:henna.
It is a perfect method to have a beautiful color on the hair.
Henna is a plant .
It grows in desert areas like the Sahara.
Its leaves have beneficial properties to care for, tone and shine the hair.
These leaves are therefore ground to obtain a powder with which you can make hair masks .
Natural henna: it does not color the hair but provides in-depth care for your scalp , restores tone, volume and shine to your hair.
This treatment therefore allows you to give reflections to your natural color and to invigorate it.
Dye henna: There are several types of powders, which must be chosen according to its natural color:fiery red, copper, black, chestnut, and auburn.
Some will only be found in specialty stores or on the internet.
As with a recipe, you must prepare a few ingredients and utensils beforehand :
. used gloves and clothes
. a bowl of hot water
. a fork to dilute
. a comb
. plastic film.
Once you have all these elements at hand, put the powder in the bowl according to the length and thickness of the hair to be colored.
For my part, short and fine hair, 5 tablespoons is enough for me.
Then you have to pour hot water until you get a thick paste .
Mix it well to eliminate lumps, so it will spread better on the hair.
1. we apply the paste obtained line by line so that the care and color are distributed throughout the hair. Don't be scared off by the greenish color, making you look like a Martian, that won't be the result!
2. So that the henna does not flow and cares for the hair well in depth, we wrap the hair in a plastic film.
3. Exposure time varies depending on the desired effect. From 45 minutes to 1 hour for a first seems not bad to me. So you can see the effects, if the result suits you you can repeat the operation and leave on for 2 hours so that the reflections are more visible.
4. All you have to do is rinse and wash your hair with your usual shampoo. Even before drying, the natural caring and coloring effect is noticeable.
I have been using copper henna for 2 years and have never been disappointed with the results. I think there is no possible comparison with the colorings sold on the market. If you want more color, just leave the henna on longer!
A word of advice:do not apply on white hair.
If you want to remove henna from the skin, here are our tips.
A box of henna of 90 g costs between 3 and 5 € depending on the store. It will serve you for several uses. Compared to coloring at the hairdresser or with a commercial chemical product, henna is good for your hair, your wallet and nature.
Henna has the double particularity of being a treatment and a dye, if you take the coloring powders. No need to invest in post-color hair care.
