There are all kinds of makeup removers. There is the milk, the lotion to go after the milk, the wipes.
All this makes a lot of expensive products, with a choice sometimes difficult to make.
In addition, we do not always know if the ingredients chosen to make them are really useful.
Might as well make one, simple, effective and natural. Here is a recipe that I love.
Our natural, all-in-one make-up remover , it should be noted, because it removes face makeup and eyes, will contain 2 main ingredients:hemp oil and lime water .
- Hemp oil is an oil made with... hemp ! So far, everything is normal. But what is hemp? It is an annual plant, from the Cannabaceae family. Yes, you guessed it, cousin of the one that will be grown to make Cannabis. But the term Hemp concerns the industrial plant, which does not contain the same molecule.
Due to its balance in polyunsaturated fatty acids , hemp oil is very nourishing for the skin, hence its interest in cosmetics. It is anti-inflammatory and reinforces the hydro-lipidic film of the epidermis. In addition, it makes it possible to obtain non-odorous emulsions which can be kept for a long time.
- Lime water is a saturated solution of calcium hydroxide , mixing lime and water. Lime also contains magnesium. It is one of the constituent elements of the natural liniment used to clean the buttocks babies.
* The Ingredients You Need:
- 20 ml apricot kernel oil
- 30 ml of hemp oil
- 50 ml lime water
All these ingredients are sold in organic stores, or on the Internet (on Amazon for example, or some online beauty stores).
* The Makeup Remover Recipe:
- Mix the ingredients in a large bowl
- Whisk hard enough to emulsify everything
You can then store it in a small clean 100ml bottle . It will keep as long as any other cleansing lotion. To apply, take the equivalent of a hazelnut and remove make-up with fingertips. Then wipe with a tissue or cotton.
Sometimes the emulsion doesn't set right away, the oils separate. Just shake well the bottle before each use.
20 ml of apricot kernel oil costs €0.90 + 30 ml of hemp oil €1.30 + 50 ml of lime water €0.45 =a 100 ml makeup remover at €2.65 .
When you know that milks, lotions and other wipes on the market sell for between 3 € (x 2 because often you need milk + lotion) and 15 €, I don't hesitate!
