Last Monday afternoon, three-time Paralympic champion and figurehead for many Bibian Mentel passed away from the effects of bone cancer. But her spirit remains the driving force behind her Mentelity Foundation.
Humberto Tan emphasized it last Monday evening in the talk show Beau:“Support the Bibian foundation.” As a presenter, he promised during his last interview with the legendary sportswoman that he will continue to support the foundation with events and presentations in the coming years.
The Mentelity Foundation aims to inspire and encourage children and young adults with physical and mental challenges. They want children and young people to become the best version of themselves. That's why the foundation motivates them to get moving and chase their dreams. No matter how big the first step is. The foundation organizes various events and programs to achieve this.
The Bibian mentality is the foundation on which the foundation is built. When she stopped with top sport, she focused completely on the foundation. For her, the stories and dreams behind the people who could be reached with the foundation were an inspiration every time.
