The whole world is struggling with a shortage of mouth caps and other protective material against the corona virus, but something has not yet been thought of:mouth caps for the deaf and hard of hearing. An American student got to work on it.
The 21-year-old student is training to become a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing. Now that the coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the United States, she came up with the idea to make mouth caps that are suitable for the deaf and hard of hearing, because she believes that suitable protective material should be available for everyone. And because it is very important for the deaf and hard of hearing to see a mouth for lip reading, she came up with the idea of making a mouth cap that keeps the mouth visible, but protects it against the virus.

She enlisted her mother's help and they got to work. She posted the result on Facebook and the response was overwhelming. She got orders from all over the country and makes as many as she can. Because the demand is likely to become too great, she plans to give away a free pattern and make a tutorial on how to cobble together the mask yourself.
