This is the effect on your body if you no longer drink alcohol (incl. recipe delicious mocktail!)

Alcohol has more effect on your body than you think. That is why many people participate in Dry January. Size what exactly changes in your body?

Butcha listed the positive effects it has on your body if you don't drink alcohol.

You sleep better

People often experience that you sleep deeply when they have had a drink. But nothing is less true. Alcohol has a dampening effect on your brain, so that you fall asleep more easily, but the quality is much less. You sleep less deeply and wake up more often. You certainly don't rest, that's why you are so tired after an evening of drinking wine – even though you may have slept longer than usual. You will soon notice that you have much more energy during your month without alcohol.

More even and happier skin

Alcohol removes moisture from your body and so your skin also gets a hit. Your skin dries out and this can also cause impurities. Especially in these cold months, we have to take extra care of our skin:stay well hydrated and stay away from the vino's! We are going for radiant skin.

Fitter, fitter, fittest

As mentioned before, you sleep better when you don't drink alcohol. This automatically ensures that you also go through life fitter. In a time when we spend a lot of time at home, we quickly feel lethargic. Run that run in the morning, go for a walk and feel (mentally and physically) fit!

Say goodbye to those cravings

Last but not least: you will really notice that you lose weight this month. Alcohol contains a lot of calories. In addition, it gives you huge cravings and you often reach for a bag of chips rather than a piece of fruit.
