This week is Ringing in the Ears Week. Attention is drawn to tinnitus. A condition in which you continuously hear noise, usually hissing or squeaking, while the environment is quiet.
It is difficult for many people to imagine what that is like. The Hoormij Foundation has therefore made fragments that you can listen to. You get an idea of what tinnitus can be like.

1 in 10 young people always has a ringing or ringing in their ears. Five years ago, only 5 percent suffered from tinnitus. Worrying numbers, because at this rate more and more young people are suffering from tinnitus.
